Distribution And Movement Of Goods
Beyond Logistics Ltd (BLL) has built strong expertise in the local distribution of commodities in both the metropolitan and hard-to-reach areas. Regardless of our destination, we put a high value on every client’s stock. Our vehicles comply with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards and all stock is secured against theft, loss and damage up to the last delivery point.
The items we distribute include antiretroviral drugs, HIV rapid test kits, sensitive vaccines, reagents, and other essential health commodities. During transit, clients can remotely monitor the movement and delivery of their stock. For sensitive temperature-controlled medicines, clients can monitor stock temperatures in real time.
It does not matter where we are assigned to deliver; with our expert route planning, healthy stakeholder network and resilience, clients’ goods arrive at the final destination on schedule and in the right condition.
Upon arrival at the final destination, the BLL delivery team strictly adheres to standard operating procedures by witnessing and verifying stock at the drop off point by the intended recipients.
Sample Projects
BLL successfully implemented a 16-month pilot model for the last mile distribution of vaccines in 180 health facilities in Wakiso, Nakaseke and Nakasongola districts. During this pilot, we strengthened vaccine inventory record keeping at District Vaccine Stores (DVS) and introduced GPS route planned distribution. We also ensured vaccine quality by maintaining the cold chain between 20 to 80 C during distribution and improved end to end supply chain visibility.
Another contract by Haier Biomedical Co. required Beyond Logistics Ltd to distribute and install 996 cold chain equipment (CCE) across the country. The solar fridges were procured by UNICEF on behalf of Ministry of Health under the Cold Chain Equipment Optimization Project (CCEOP2). Our highly experienced distribution team achieved 100% compliance to the delivery lead times, with full completion of deliveries, collection of proof of delivery documentation, writing and presenting daily status reports to relevant stakeholders.
